Racial Equity Week 2020

Mark your calendars - the second annual Cook County Racial Equity Week will be held September 14 - 18, 2020. This year's theme is Cook County Past, Present and Future: Acknowledging past harm, reckoning with impact today, and casting a vision for our County's future.

Programming will include a deeper dive into the need to advance racial equity, especially as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic. A series of interactive virtual events involving community leaders, artists and the public will take place over all five days. A preview of confirmed events include a Census Action Week Kickoff Event, a screening of COOKED: Survival by Zip Code, and live storytelling with Ada Cheng.

Updates and registration links for Racial Equity Week events will be posted at www.cookcountyil.gov/service/racial-equity.
