The Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) is making 2017 JAG funds available for competitive application and award to eligible applicants. The total grand funds are available for federal fiscal year 2017 is $376,582.
The JAG Program provides states and units of local governments with critical funding necessary to support programs in law enforcement, prevention and education, drug treatment and enforcement, as well as crime and witness initiatives.
Local law enforcement agencies and non-profit entities within Cook County who identify initiatives which meet one or more JAG purpose areas are invited to apply for grant funding. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019. Funding announcements will be made no later than May 15, 2019.
