Cook County FY2022 Budget

At the beginning of October, President Preckwinkle's proposed $8 billion Executive Budget Recommendation for Fiscal Year 2022 was announced. Our goal for the budget is to equitably address the County’s ongoing pandemic response efforts while not increasing taxes or cutting critical services.

Over the next month and a half, the Board of Commissioners will be hard at work preparing for the Fiscal Year 2022 set to take effect on December 1.

Members of the public were invited to weigh in during two virtual public hearings on Thursday, October 21st at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Testimony for either hearing can be submitted here.
