14th District Municipalities Receive State Funding

The villages of Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove will be the recipients of $6.8 million in state infrastructure funds. This comes as a result of an overall $45 billion infrastructure package, signed by Governor Pritzker, that will go on to fund projects across the state over the next six years.

In Arlington Heights, the funding will allow for road improvements and need storm water improvements. Projects to be funded with Arlington Heights' $3.4 million allocation include Berkley Drive/Hintz Road area stormwater improvements, Evergreen/Maude avenues drainage improvements, general flood mitigation and reconstruction of Beverly Street and Rockwell Street.

For Buffalo Grove, an estimate $3.4 million will address the Thompson and Brandywyn reconstruction projects.
