National Night Out 2022

On August 2, Commissioner Britton participated in National Night Out with police departments throughout the 14th District.


Commissioner Britton's first stop was the Arlington Heights Police Department's National Night Out event at North School Park. There, Commissioner Britton met with Police Chief Nick Pecora and Arlington Heights' K9 officers.


Next, Commissioner Britton visited the Prospect Height Police Department's National Night Out at Gary Morava Recreation Center. Commissioner Britton spent time with Police Chief William Caponigro, Mayor Matt Dolick, and park district Executive Director Christina Ferraro. Officer Deol, the Youth Outreach Program coordinator, was also on hand.


Commissioner Britton's third stop of the evening was to Wheeling Police Department's National Night Out celebration at Wheeling Park District. There, Commissioner Britton visited with Wheeling police officers, members of the Wheeling Chamber, and leaders of the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago, a cultural institution that calls Wheeling home.


The last visit of the evening was to the Northbrook Police Department's National Night Out festivities at the Meadowhill Aquatic Center. Commissioner Britton closed out the evening by spending time with Chief Christopher Kennedy and Northbrook police officers.


National Night Out was introduced in August of 1984, involving 2.5 million neighbors across 400 communities in 23 states.
