In 2019, a project in the 14th District was funded to construct an improved at-grade crossing at the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Wilke Road, providing a continuous east-west connection between Buffalo Grove, Long Grove and Palatine. The project also includes at 500 foot multi-use path on the north side of Lake Cook Road. Safety is paramount, and this project will provide a much need route to the Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve trail system that is both safe and convenient.
