Forest Preserve Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are a crucial part of the evolution of the Forest Preserves - they are active participants in habitat restoration, land stewardship, nature education, trail safety, and more. Individuals looking to make an immediate impact are invited to explore the Select Organized Litter Obliterators (SOLO) program. This program allows individuals to pick up litter at any site and at anytime the Forest Preserves is open.

Residents looking for additional information about volunteering at the Forest Preserves are invited to call 773-631-1790 or email volunteer.fpd@cookcountyil.gov.
