The Cook County Community Recovery Initiative has launched a rental assistance program for renters in suburban Cook County affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
You can receive up to three months of past due or future rent.
Applicants must:
Rent in suburban Cook County
Have past-due status on rent after March 27th.
Have a household income below the 80th percentile of Area Median Income
Apply between August 10th and August 18th
You are not eligible if you have already received another form of rental assistance. Eligible applicants will be selected by lottery. Payments will be made directly to landlords. Immigration status does not impact a renter's ability to apply.
