The Palatine American Legion Post 690, Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of the American Legion are holding a series of fish fries during Lent from 5:45 - 8 PM upstairs in their family-friendly banquet hall which is open to the public) at the American Legion, 122 W. Palatine Road to raise funds for Legion Family Charities. “We will be serving crunchy battered cod dinners for $12 for adults, $5 for children under 10 years old, and there will be no charge for children under 3 years old,” said Erica Bartnicki, project chair. “The dinners include a garden salad, fish, tater-tots, mac & cheese, coleslaw, rolls, coffee, and dessert. Children between 3 and 10 years old can request cheese pizza in place of a fish dinner. A full service bar is available for drinks in the banquet hall and downstairs in the Legion’s clubroom.” The fish fries will be held every Friday during Lent starting on February 21st.
