Palatine Veterans Day Celebration

American Legion Post 690 will host its annual Veterans Day program on Monday, Nov. 11 at the Veterans Memorial at Community Park. The Veterans Day observance will be held at 11 a.m. at the Veterans  Memorial on the corner of Northwest Highway and Wood Street.  Representatives from the American Legion, Legion Auxiliary and Sons of  the American Legion will speak. The Legion color guard and rifle squad participate. This  year, they will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the American  Legion Auxiliary.

Following the ceremony, attendees  are invited to the American Legion Hall in Palatine to honor those who  have served this country in the military. The Post is making a focused  effort to reach out to Cold War, post-Gulf War and post 9/11 vets.
