Veterans Day Ceremonies in the 14th District


The Buffalo Grove Community Arts Center, 225 McHenry Rd., will serve as the site of a Veterans Day. The program begins with a Color Guard ceremony and playing of the national anthem.


The Village of Glenview will honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans with Veteran Day observance. Sponsored by Joseph M. Sesterhenn American Legion Post 166, the observance will include speeches and a rifle salute.


Join your veterans from Mount Prospect in the celebration of our country's veterans. Veterans Day is historical, especially the significance of the date the 11th day of the 11th month and the 11th hour when the WWI armistice took effect.


The American Legion Post #791 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars invite all to assemble in the Northbrook Jr. High gym for a service to honor those who served the armed forces: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.


American Legion Post 690 will host its annual Veterans Day program on Monday, Nov. 11 at the Veterans Memorial at Community Park. Representatives from the American Legion, Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion will speak. This  year, they will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the American  Legion Auxiliary.
