Is it too late to get a flu shot?

It's flu season and this year the virus is hitting the Chicago area hard. Local news has been covering the spike in flu cases and the Cook County Department of Public Health publishes weekly reports on the flu, where you can see how it is impacting your area. Flu cases typically increase after the holidays and after children return to school, but if you haven't gotten your flu shot yet, there's still time! The flu season runs until the early spring. Many local pharmacies and clinics are still offering vaccines, which are recommended for nearly everyone 6 months or older. In addition to getting vaccinated, remember the 3 C's to protect against the flu: 1) Clean your hands by washing properly and frequently

2) Cover your cough & sneeze

3) Contain germs by staying home if you're sick
