Community Development Grant Applications Now Open!

Each year, the Bureau of Economic Development (BED) partners with the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) to solicit grant applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) funding through a competitive process. 

Applications can be found online, and can be submitted electronically to Sonia Brown at sonia.brown@cookcountyil.gov. Applications are due by 4:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2019.

Capital improvement projects made possible by HOME, CDBG and ESG grants include road, sewer, water main, sidewalk, and public facility improvements, and have benefited approximately 500,000 residents through out the County.
