We are proud to partner with community organizations that are making a difference in the lives of residents of District 14. Our District Office is an official drop-off location for donations to WINGS and the Northfield Township Food Pantry. Please feel free to drop off your items, Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM and will be share them with these great organizations. Thank you!
About WINGS
The mission of WINGS Program, Inc. is to provide housing, integrated services, education and advocacy to end domestic violence. Established in 1985, WINGS provides a pathway to independence for victims, including emergency safe shelter and transitional housing. WINGS also helps families who are in crisis with basic needs for items such as food and clothing.
WINGS relies on in-kind donations, ranging from cleaning supplies to medicine to hygiene products, from individuals, local businesses and faith communities. Throughout the year, these donations play a big role in supporting the work they do.
Drop-off in-kind donations at our district office, and we will make sure these critical supplies get to WINGS, including:
Housing Wish List: night lights, day planners, make-up remover, nail polish remover
Cleaning Supply Wish List: baby wipes, baby bottle brushes, vaseline, paper towels, blankets, cleaning supplies, laundry
Back to School Wish List: Lysol wipes, baby wipes, sandwich baggies, quart, and gallon re-sealable plastic bags, tissues, earbuds and headphones
About the Northfield Township Food Pantry
The Northfield Township Food Pantry distributes perishable and non-perishable food, grocery store cards and household items to struggling families living in Glenview, Northbrook, and Northfield. As no tax dollars are used to supply the Pantry, the Pantry relies entirely on the support of the community to provide this much-needed assistance. The Northfield Township Food Pantry is a 501c3 organization and an agency of the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
Drop-off non-perishable donations at our district office, including, for example, mashed potatoes, canned corn, applesauce, baby wipes, juice boxes.
